This is a call to stand up, to take responsibility and to get involved in working towards a sustainable future. Iconic buildings and landmarks from Europe to The Americas will stand in darkness. People across the world will turn off their lights and join together in creating the vital conversation about the future of our precious planet.
In 2007, global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square, all stood in darkness, as symbols of hope for a cause that grows more urgent by the hour.
Let us, as Indians, also show our solidarity towards our love for the earth and help save her; one light-bulb at a time!
Please switch off your lights, for just an hour; between 8:30 - 9:30pm (local time) on the 28th of March, 2009.
Earth Hour is a message of hope and a message of action. Everyone can make a difference

I did hear about it a few days ago, and I am so going to do it! I have been spreading the message too :)
Hope all of us do it!
Super good :) Keep Spreading ;)
Thanks for promoting Earth Hour! Another way you can recruit people to the cause is by creating a Earth Hour group on Commit21.com. Simply create a group about one action that you will commit to do for Earth Hour and recruit your friends, family, and co-workers to get involved in that action as well. When it comes to climate change, simple actions can make huge differences and Commit21 leverages social media to influence networks of friends, family, and co-workers. Check it out at www.commit21.com
